CITIES From 2006 to 2009, members of this team produced training material and a homepage in the project CITIES – Chemistry and Industry for Teachers in European Schools. CITIES material is freely available to teachers and students or pupils. The CITIES team saw and still sees a need to contribute to a better contact between secondary school teachers and the world of the (chemical) industry. Some of the sections of the homepage http://cities.eu.org correspond to training modules for teachers. The CITIES team hopes to develop them into a training course with a certificate or “Euroteacher label” with the help of ECTN – in Work package 12 of EC2E2N. May I add that we all should try to involve colleagues from industry even more in all ECTN activities? (Read PDF Kb).
ESCS The focus of the activities is on practising the skills of reading and listening English for Chemistry Students in order to attain an effective level ...

SOLID A true chemistry project is SOLID - see http://www.solid-info.net/. SOLID is a trans-national partnership which is developing an e-learning module in solid state synthesis to meet some of the new challenges and training needs of the European chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
