Public : This test has been designed to evaluate a level of competence in inorganic chemistry equivalent to that of a person who has completed the core chemistry syllabus at University.
Duration : You may answer the questions in any order during 60 minutes.
Structure : The test consists of 30 questions covering the topics given below. It starts with 15 questions at the introductory level, followed by 10 questions at the intermediate level and finally 5 questions at the advanced level of difficulty.

  11. Coordination Chemistry 2: stereochemistry, ligand field theory and related effects (color, mag., ..)
  12. Lewis Acids and Bases
  13. Organo-metallic Chemistry
  14. Chains, Rings and Cages
  15. Bioinorganic Chemistry

 

Intermediate Level
  1. Atomic structure, bonding, symmetry
  2. Stereochemistry
  3. Main Group Chemistry: H, Groups 1,2,12,13
  4. Main Group Chemistry: Groups 13,14
  5. Main Group Chemistry: Groups 16,17,18
  6. Transition Metal Chemistry
