SUPPORT BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION
The European Commission is supporting a pilot project for the introduction of the Euromaster® Label, so that the ECTN Association can make the Label available under special conditions.
Who can apply?
The Euromaster® label is open to all higher education institutions in the European Community, irrelevant of whether or not they already have a Eurobachelor® Label. During the pilot project:
Applications must be made using the Guidelines for Applicants, which can be downloaded from the "Documentation" page.
=====
Step 1: contact the Executive Secretary of the Label Committee in office to inform him that an application can be expected. Inform him how many degree programmes will be the subject of the application.
Step 2: download the Euromaster® Document and the Guidelines for Applicants and the Bologna glossary documents from the "Documentation" page.
Step 3: submit the self-assessment prepared according to the Guidelines at the address given in the Guidelines.
Step 4: When the self-assessment is received ECTNA will prepare the contract between the ECTNA and the institution and send it to the institution together with an invoice. The contract will contain details of the fee which will apply. Institutions for which the fees given above may prevent the submission of an application are asked to contact the executive secretary. As soon as the self-assessment has been considered by the Label Committee, the person responsible for its preparation will be contacted by Prof. Mitchell to discuss further details. If the Label Committee is satisfied with the self-assessment, the site visit will be organised.
Step 5: The site visit will be carried out by three experts, two international and one national. The national expert will be nominated wherever possible by the national chemical society. The international experts will be nominated by the ECTNA.
The site visit will require one day, and will include the following elements. A discussion with:
a member of the institution's directing body
the person responsible for preparing the self-assessment
members of the academic staff
students
... and a tour of the department
